Workshops that teach practical skills people can actually use.

Se Puede workshops are built to support real-life coping, reflection, and restoration. Michelle D. Elder, MSW, LMHC brings her lived experience, licensed mental-health-counselor background, and mindful-sound facilitation training with her, while keeping these offerings clearly non-clinical. This work is here to support existing care, widen access, and help daily life feel more doable.

If someone is experiencing significant mental-health symptoms, they should seek therapy, speak with their doctor, or use a higher level of support when needed.

Why this was built.

Knowing about a coping skill is not the same thing as having a space to practice it.

Se Puede was built from the belief that people deserve affordable, accessible wellness spaces where they can practice grounding, boundaries, breathing techniques, positive affirmations, guided reflection, self-worth, and restorative skills without forced disclosure or unnecessary barriers.

The long-term dream is for the Reflective Sanctuary to become a physical place too: not only free online content, but a living space where coping skills, wellness education, sound, nature, creativity, and community can be practiced together.

Too many people say they want to care for themselves and then never get a real structure to follow. Se Puede is about helping people build the habit: start the day rooted, practice something believable, and carry one steadying tool into the rest of life.

These workshops are not therapy at a discount. They are a separate public educational-wellness offering designed to complement therapy, medical care, community supports, self-help work, and the real work people are already doing in their lives.

Current format: The live morning class is currently on hold while the books, audio resources, and digital wellness experience are being rebuilt more carefully. Se Puede is presently focused on digital guided resources, custom workshops, and partnership planning while future in-person spaces are explored.
Why partners matter: These offerings are especially suited for hard-working communities, caregiving teams, helping professionals, and organizations that want to be more proactive about mental health. Workplace partnerships, stakeholder support, and nonprofit agreements help keep community-facing offerings more affordable while the pilot grows.
Accessible and sustainable: The hope is to keep community workshops low-cost enough for everyday people in Spokane Valley to attend, while also honoring preparation time, materials, professional training, bills, and the long-term goal of saving for land where the Reflective Sanctuary can grow into a real place.

Root, Rise & Restore is the workshop spine.

Every workshop can stand alone, but the structure stays recognizable: understand what is happening, practice a supportive response, and decide what you want to carry forward.

Root

Arrive, orient, and notice what is true: body signals, needs, patterns, stress, limits, and context.

Rise

Practice one realistic coping skill, communication shift, reflection tool, affirmation, or next step.

Restore

Close with integration, guided rest, sound, reflection, breath, grounding, or a personal plan for daily life.

Workshop themes people can click into and grow with.

These themes grow from Michelle's lived perspective, the Root/Rise/Restore library, the public resource hub, and the larger Se Puede vision of teaching usable life skills. People can choose from a series of stand-alone workshops or request a custom sequence.

Employee wellness packages.

Workplace wellness with Se Puede is meant to be simple, steady, and realistic: a 30-minute morning reset where employees can pause, ground, breathe, reflect, and begin the day with one usable coping skill.

These offerings are educational wellness experiences, not therapy, group therapy, medical care, or crisis services.

Each session can be customized to fit the workplace's needs, or a team can choose a ready-made package focused on grounding, burnout prevention, affirmations, stress reset, mindful transitions, filling your cup, or guided meditation with a mini sound bath.

Class status: The public morning class is on hold right now. No public checkout is active right now. Workshop and partnership costs are discussed case by case while this part of Se Puede is being explored and rebuilt.

Spokane Valley community poll.

Before setting the next public workshops, Se Puede wants to hear what people would actually attend: social-anxiety-friendly coping skills, PTSD-informed grounding, burnout support, sound, creative reflection, therapeutic gardening, community garden advocacy, or support-group education.

This poll is free, general, and not a therapy intake form. Please do not include private health details or crisis needs.

Digital now. In-person as partnerships grow.

Michelle does want to offer in-person one-day wellness workshops. At the moment, Se Puede is fully digital while partnership conversations, stakeholder relationships, and space agreements are still being developed.

Future in-person offerings may happen at a partner workplace, a retreat site, a community venue, a library, a nonprofit space, or another agreed-upon location. Ideally, many employee-wellness days could happen directly at the buyer's workplace so people can come and go through rotating session slots during the day.

Se Puede is open to growth as a pilot program and is building toward a future with many grounding classes, guided wellness workshops, contracted partnerships, and community offerings locally and nationwide.

Community partnerships and stakeholders.

The goal is not to rush people into buying an event. The goal is to build the right relationships so wellness access can grow responsibly, stay more affordable, and actually help communities.

Host a pop-up

Libraries, nonprofits, community organizations, schools, workplaces, or wellness events can host Root, Rise & Restore experiences.

Sponsor community access

Partners can help fund low-cost seats, scholarships, reduced nonprofit rates, resource printing, or wider access to free materials.

Offer physical space

Future in-person offerings will depend on aligned partners with accessible, appropriate locations.

Co-design meaningful topics

Stakeholders can help identify what their employees, members, or communities actually need right now.

Support future growth

Partnerships may eventually help build toward expanded grounding classes, contracted workshops, in-person wellness days, and broader community-centered programming.

Build something useful together

Se Puede wants collaboration that widens access and grows something real—not just performative wellness branding.

Invitation to stakeholders: Although Se Puede is an LLC, the model is intentionally low-cost because the belief is simple: wellness access should not belong only to people with the most money or free time. Community partnerships, corporate workshops, sponsorships, and nonprofit agreements help make that possible. Se Puede is looking to build something useful that supports real habit-building and helps people begin the day from a more mindful and rooted place. Reach out through the contact form to explore a custom agreement, nonprofit arrangement, sponsored access idea, or pilot partnership.
Invitation to other providers: Therapists, mental health providers, peer specialists, educators, gardeners, artists, and community leaders are encouraged to imagine what affordable coping-skill and wellness-education spaces could look like in their own neighborhoods too.

Support groups and peer support matter.

A healthy community needs more than one kind of support. Therapy, medical care, crisis care, support groups, peer support, spiritual or cultural support, family, friends, and community connection can all play different roles.

Peer support is powerful because lived experience can reduce shame and help people feel less alone. It is not the same as therapy, and therapy is not the same as peer support. Both can matter.

In Washington State, the Health Care Authority describes peer support as an approved Medicaid service that pairs people in recovery with trained specialists who share life experiences. Certified Peer Support Specialists may support hope, recovery, advocacy, service navigation, recovery groups, and connection.

People interested in becoming a Certified Peer Support Specialist in Washington can learn more through the official Washington State Health Care Authority pages.

Participants are not expected to share personal trauma or process private experiences publicly.

Choice throughout

Clear scope

These offerings are educational wellness experiences—not therapy, group therapy, diagnosis, treatment, or crisis care.

Important scope note: Michelle is a therapist and trained mindful-sound facilitator, while these public Se Puede workshops are educational wellness offerings rather than clinical care. Participation does not create a therapist-client relationship.
